It 's a collection of Italian proverbs (by region with explanations and translations). In the appendix there are also proverbs from the rest of the world. For example, there is one African, who could not explain better The situation these days, lived from North Africa.:
"When two elephants clash to suffer is the grass"
Or there's an Italian, "the height of the tower does not improve the Raven" ( like to say a great big horse is not Knight).
The proverbs are handed down in a verbal and sometimes you lose and die in a sort of chain letter. You do not become wiser, but they have a "Buddhist". They are great truths expressed in a few words that the people generous and refined in its own way over time. The best comes out.
